We can't thank enough Lauren Tarshis, famous author of the "I Survived" series, for coming out to Lincoln School. She shared her struggles with reading as a child, along with her determination with writing. Students learned about how she writes her historical fiction books and came out of the assemblies inspired! She even signed books!

On April 15, our preschool students had a special visit from a K-9 officer and his dog, Armani! The children were excited to learn about how K-9 units help keep our community safe and how officers and their dogs work together as a team. The officer explained Armani’s important job, including how he uses his strong sense of smell to assist in finding items and helping officers in different situations. Students enjoyed watching Armani demonstrate his training and were amazed by how well he listened to commands. They asked thoughtful questions and were eager to learn more about how K-9 dogs are trained and cared for. This hands-on experience was both engaging and educational, sparking curiosity and helping students build a greater understanding of community helpers.

December Spirit Week Theme Days

Each Thursday at Lincoln School, certain classes receive music therapy from an outside organization called Jammin Jenn. The vision is to capture the power of music to help any individual rise to their potential and provide some fun. In Jammin’ Jenn sessions, musical activities are custom designed to promote specific motor, cognitive, perceptual, communication, and behavioral goals for students, while creating a stimulating musical journey.
